Biography

Gilbert was born in 1895 to Edward and Estelle (Armstrong). Gilbert Morgan Served in the Home Guard during WW1 in Poughkeepsie NY[1] Where he met and married his wife Catherine Smith, Daughter of John Smyth And Teresa Smyth (previously deceased 1904) While living in Poughkeepsie they had a daughter Marie Estelle Morgan.[2] He moved his wife and daughter back to Petersburg NY and had a son Gibert Joseph[3], that passed away as a baby.He and his brother Walter Morgan both worked as a RR Track repairman then Formen, each having their own crew. [4] He was an avid deer hunter and loved and was loved by his family and community. He passed away in 1960. [5]and was laid to rest in the family plot at Hoosick Rural Cemetery, Hoosick NY.
