Biography
Jean (Morier) Morier dit Verron migrated from France to New France.
Jean was born about 1631 in St-Jean, Chenommet, Angoumois, France son of Jean Morier and Anne Caron[6][7]He is thought to have arrived in New France in 1659. [8]
He married Marie Mineau on 29 October 1678 at Ste-Famille Church in St-Jean, Ile d'Orléans, New France.[7]
Marie-Madeleine, baptized 10 May 1682 & buried 3 Jan. 1683[9]
Marie aka Marie-Jeanne, baptized 10 July 1685; wed Marc Semeur 28 July 1700[9][10] and listed as Marie-Jeanne wed Pierre Gallien 20 June 1704.[9] Evidence that the same woman married both men is available in a document regarding land dispute from February 1710 where Pierre Gallien presents the marriage record of his wife from her first marriage to Marc Sameur.[11]

Jean-Baptiste, wed Marie Marthe Greslon Laviolette on 17 Feb. 1716.[10] Tanguay [9] lists him as Jean and baptized 12 Nov. 1692.
Mathurin, wed Marie-Jeanne Madeleine Choret on 17 Nov. 1721.[10]
Jean died and was buried 18 August 1705 at Saint-Jean, Île d'Orléans, New France.[10] Jean Maurier was listed as 75 when he died in 1705[12]
