  • Jean Baptiste Morin and Sophie Rochon are living in Alfred Ontario on 31 Aug 1874 when their son Jean Baptiste Morin marries Clemence Laforge, daughter of Ambroise Laforge and Sophie Bazinet, in St-Jean-de-Matha, Joliette. [1]
  • The census data gives her birthplace as Québec Province, not Ontario
  • Only one Sophie Morin with parents Jean Baptiste Morin and Sophie Rochon baptized in Québec

Emmelie was born 23 Apr 1847, she was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Morin and his wife Sophie Rochon. She was baptized the same day in Ste-Scholastique, Mirabel. [2] At the 1871 and 1881 censuses birth year is 1848 and birthplace is Québec Province. [3] [4]

On 4 Sep 1869, in Eglise St-Bernard de Prescott, Fournier, Michel Peter widower of Emilie Lalonde married Emilie Mauren adult daughter of Jean Baptiste Mauren, tailor (couturier), and Sophie Rochon of Alfred. The Ancestry copy is very poor, IGD copy legible. [5] [6]
