Marie Modeste Morin was born September 3rd and baptized September 4th, 1842 in Ste-Marie. Her parents were Pierre Morin and Louise Lefebvre. She had a twin who died at birth, his burial is recorded just after her birth.[1]
When Modeste was 17 she married Charles Lehoux, a 50 year old widower, on January 17th 1860 in St-Bernard. Two of his son in laws were witnesses as well as Germain Morin her beau frère, could be a brother in law or a half brother.[2]
Modeste, Charles and their first born Charles, age 1, are living in St-Bernard Parish, Dorchester during the Canada-Est Census of 1861(entries 12-13-14).[3]
Modeste and Charles had several children, he died in 1899 and she remarried to Joseph Bolduc also a widower on August 6th 1889.[4]
Modeste was again widowed and remarried to Joseph Adam Boily widower, August 20th 1900, in Thetford Mines.[5]
Modeste Morin wife of Joseph Adam Boily died suddenly on June 8th 1908 in Thetford Mines. She was buried in the cemetery of St-Alphonse-de-Thetford parish June 10th. In attendance was her husband and Louis Lehoux probably her son.[6]
