Biography

Birth and Baptism
Mathilde Philomène Morin was born on 8 Nov 1843 in Saint-Boniface, Red River Colony, Rupert's Land, British North America.[1] She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Morin and Marie Ducharme, both French Canadien.

Marriage
Antoine Hamelin and Philomène Morin were married about 1862.

Residence
On 15 Jul 1875, Philomène Hamelin, the daughter of original white settlers and wife of Antoine Hamelin, was living at St. Vital, Provencher, Manitoba, Canada.[1]

On 31 Mar 1901, Mathilde Hamelin was living with her husband and family at Dauphinais, Assiniboia, District of Saskatchewan, North-West Territories, Canada.[2]

in 1906, Mathilde P Hamelin was living with her husband Antoine and her first cousin Francois Perreault (listed as Frank Pars by the enumerator).[3]

Death and Burial
Mathilde Perreault died on 27 May 1922 and was buried at Saint Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Jasmin, Saskatchewan, Canada.[4]

Probate
Marie Philomène Mathilde Hamelin died on 27 May 1922, intestate. The probate record lists her surviving husband, children, and grandchildren. On 30 Jul 1928, Antoine Hamelin received a legal grant to be the sole heir and executor of her estate. Their children and grandchildren agreed to a quit-claim of their rights to her estate in favor of their father or grandfather.[5]
