The Scots Peerage has a marriage for to John (Arbuthnot) Viscount of Arbuthnot 5th[2]
in which it states that the marriage was not universally accepted by the family of the Viscount and that Jean's father was either unwilling or unable to pay the "Torcher fee of 50,000 merks" for the wedding contract but wanted to pay only 40.000. This marriage is also confirmed by the records held at Kittybrewster.com
her death is not recorded anywhere at the moment
