Biography
Sarah Morley was born in 1837 to Robert Morley and Elizabeth Coombes Morley of Haslemere, Surrey.
In 1859, Sarah gave birth - in Haslemere - to a son George Morley. Four years later (1863), she married James Sherlock who brought up her young son. He was frequently called George Sherlock.
Sarah and James lived much of their married life in Steep, Hampshire. The couple had children: Sarah, Mary Ann, James, Alice, Emily, Clara, and Edith Kate Sherlock.
Sarah Morley Sherlock died in Steep in 1923 at 85 years of age.
