Biography
When John Lewis Morrell was born on March 10, 1813, in Cornish, Maine, his father, David, was 35 and his mother, Anne, was 29. He married Elizabeth Betsey Beeman on February 4, 1837. They had seven children in 19 years. He died on October 24, 1893, in Virden, Illinois, having lived a long life of 80 years, and was buried there.
