Maurice (Morris?) and Margaret came to the USA from Wales, but Census records don't show their parents coming too, so they likely stayed in Wales.
They may have come from Swansea Area, Southern Wales.
Baptized 9 July 1796 at Llanelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales [1]
Arrived in New York on 29 June 1852 aboard the Euphemia.
Buried at Jennieton Congregational Cemetery, Barneveld, Iowa County, WIisconsin, USA
Research Notes
John Thomas (Sr) “Gynheidre,” was born in 1748, in the parish of Llanelli, in Carmarthen Shire. Died August 27, and was buried the 30, 1838, at the age of ninety years. His wife Ann, was born in 1755, and died at “Cilcarw” June 14, buried the 17, 1853, at the remarkable age of ninety eight years. Both are buried in Llanon Churchyard.
I know of only two daughters born to them. Mary became the wife of David C. Morris. They emigrated to America, and settled on a farm in the township of Ridgeway, Wisconsin. Their family were John, David C., Margaret, Mary Ann and Rosana.
John (Jr) lived in Chicago. David owned a big farm in the township of Ridgeway and had quite a large family. those with whom I am best acquainted is a son John J. who is a very wealthy land owner residing in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, and the late Hon. David C. Jr. a prominent farmer and a member of the legislative assembly. Margaret was Mrs. Parry, Rosana married Capt. Danial G. Jones, Mary Ann was the wife of John T. Williams “Dugway,” and the mother of Sarah Jane Williams and sister, the late Rosana. Miss. Sarah Jane lives in Dodgeville, and is a very intelligent woman. She is allied with every forward movement in the neighborhood, a friend to everybody and a lady of splendid personality.[2]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with David by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with David:
