Biography

Among the younger sons of John I, Richard was born in Sumerset, Pennsylvania in January of 1729. He married Rebecca Flint, and went on to build Fort Morris in Maryland in 1774 before moving with his son to Licking Creek, Kentucky; where he died in 1803 at the age of seventy four, shortly after the death of his son John III.
