Simon, child of William Morris and Ann Murphy, was born in 1777 and baptized on 18 April 1777 in Wexford, Wexford, Ireland.[1] He appeared in the 1821 Waterford census. [2] He died about 1857.

Morris-41311 and Morris-18247 appear to represent the same person because: Although estimated birth dates are different, the family relationships are the same: son Edward, brother Patrick, all three Newfoundland politicians originally from Waterford.
