Biography
"In 1860, Mary Jane is 10 years old and is living with her parents Elijah and Nancy Morris and her five brothers and sisters in Purdy, McNairy County, TN.
Mary Jane loses her father to the Civil War when she was 15 years old (1865).
She married James C. Landreth in August of 1866. In 1870 James and Mary have been married for 4 years and are farming in Purdy with their three year old son, John. They live next door to James' parents, John and Prudence.
By age 34, (1910) Mary Jane has given birth to seven children; John Eliza, William Thomas, Robert James, Warren Leo, Adie L. Calvin Eddie, and Ida Leona.
Mary died in 1908 in McNairy County and is buried in Mars Hill Cemetery.
