Biography
Sarah was born in September 1823 probably in Lincoln County, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Vincent Morris and Margaret Hunt. She passed away in November 1844 in Gaston County, North Carolina and is buried in Morris-Rankin Cemetery, Mount Holly, Gaston County.[1]
Sarah married Spencer Shelton about 1840 in North Carolina. A marriage record has not been located, however their oldest child William Wesley Shelton was born in 1841 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.[2] They had children:

After Sarah's death, her husband Spencer married her sister Catherine Morris.
