Edward Morris, Gentleman was born 1580 in Blutisham Town, Huntington County, Wales. He is listed among the Original Settlers of Jamestown Settlement Colony in what is today the state of Virginia. The original settlers arrived on three ships, the "Susan Constant," the "Discovery" and the "Godspeed. Edward's son, Nicholas Morris (1605-1664) became the Justice of County Court of Northumberland county, Virginia. Edward died August 14, 1607. [1]

Martha Morris later married Thomas Lane, a wealthy land owner of Northumberland County, Virginia. She signed her Morris inheritance over to her son, Anthony, on 15 July 1665.
