E. Maude Morris was born in Moravia, Cayuga, New York. She married a Utica fireman, William F. Garnsey. She appears in the 1900 and 1910 census as Mary. She moved to Lake Worth, Florida about 1958 and died in Palm Beach October 7, 1965. She was buried in the Cedarville Cemetery, Herkimer, New York.
Obituary Cedarville--Mrs. E. Maude Garnsey, 89, formerly of Utica and Cedarville, and widow of William F. Garnsey, died Oct. 7 at Lake Worth, Fla. She was born in Moravia, daughter of Cyer and Nancy House Morris. She was married to Mr. Garnsey, a Utica fireman, in 1899 in Utica. He died in 1929 in Cedarville. Mrs. Garnsey moved to Lake Worth seven years ago. She leaves two sons, Edwyn Garnsey, Lake Worth, and William H. Garnsey, Lantana, Fla., and a brother, Leo Morris, Cedarville. The funeral will be at 11 tomorrow from the Wilcox Funeral Home, West Winfield, with the Rev. Donald S. Bell, pastor, People's Undenominational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Cedarville, Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 tonight.[1]
