Biography

Frances Morris was a daughter of Levi Morris and Margaret Jarrett. She is estimated to have been born about 1790 by the year she married and being enumerated between the age of 30 to 40 during the 1830 census.

Frances was married in 1809 to William Spurlock in Kanawha County, Virginia.^[1] A biographical source for one of her children claims she died from cholera. Her death on 10 June 1833 in, Cabell County, Virginia (Now Wayne, WV.) appears to come from a son-in-law's family bible and is substantiated by no presence of a widow at the estate sale of William Spurlock held on the 2nd and 3rd day of August in 1833.^[2]
