On 2 January 1819, Thomas Morris for the natural love and affection he had towards his granddaughter Mary Morris, natural daughter of his daughter Elizabeth Morris (now Mrs. Elizabeth Nix), gave her all his stock of cattle then in possession of John Nix, husband of his daughter Elizabeth Nix, consisting of about twenty head of cattle marked with a cross and three splits in one ear and nothing in the other.
