"The name Morris is of Welsh origin and traceable back to Rhys, sometimes called Rhys Fitzgerald, brother to Rhys Prince of Geventland. In 1171, in conjunction with Richard Strongbow, Rhys Fitzgerald led an expedition into Ireland, and owing to his achievements there received the name of Maur Rhys, that is "Great Rhys". In the course of time, his descendents changed the name into Maurise, Maurice, and Morris...William Morris, a descendent of Maur Rhys Fitzgerald lived in the first half of the 17th century in Monmouthshire, Wales on an estate called Tintern, situated near the historic Tintern Abbey."

Morris-3581 and Morris-2570 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicates. Please merge into Morris-2570 and this will properly place his children all together. These children emigrate to early New York (after the English take over New Netherland) and East New Jersey and several become associated with the Quaker families in addition to their secular activities while William's son Richard sires a future governor of New York Province.
