Mary was born in 1849. She was the daughter of Henry Morris and Hannah Cooke. Married to Joseph Lavender in 1878, They had eight children. Mary passed away in 1913, at her residence, Marsden St, Parramatta.

Henry Morris,the father arrived in Sydney ,as a convict about 1830. He married Hannah Cooke in Camden. Other research shows Mary marrying Joseph Lavender,and a child Minnie Grace.
