Biography

Hugh Morrison was born in 1878 in Andraid, County Antrim, Ireland. He was the son of James Morrison and Agnes McAuley[1].

In the 1901 Ireland census, Hugh Morrison was age 22, living at Andraid, Co. Antrim with his parents James Morrison (50), a farmer, Agnes Morrison (51), and siblings W John Morrison (20) and Mary Morrison (15)[2].

In the 1911 Ireland census, Hugh Morrison was age 32, a farmer, living at Andraid, Co. Antrim with his widowed mother Agnes Morrison (62), and siblings William J Morrison (30), a farmer, Mary Morrison (24), and also his sister Agnes Gordon's children Eddie Gordon (14), Agnes Gordon (12) and Minnie Gordon (8)[3].

Hugh Morrison married Jane Bailie of Moneynick, Duneane, County Antrim on 27 November 1912 in Millrow Presbyterian Church, Antrim, County Antrim, Ireland[4]. Jane's sister Maria Bailie was one of the witnesses.

Hugh and Jane Morrison do not appear to have had any children.
