Biography
Mary was born about 1738 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She was the third daughter of Irish immigrant William Morrison and Margaret Hays. The family first lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, then moved to Rowan County, North Carolina.
Her father William Morrison was born 1704 and died in 1771, Mary's mother Margaret Hays was born 1715 and died in 1767. Two of her siblings were Rebecca Morrison Harris (1738 - 1776) and Mary Morrison King (1738 - 1817).
She married Robert King about 1761. He was born in 1736 and passed away in 1806. They had eleven children: Margaret King Donnell (1764 - 1827), Mary, Richard King (1768 - 1834), Martha King McCorkle (____ - 1799), Anna King, Samuel King (1775 - 1842), William Morrison King (1777 - 1814), Elizabeth, Rebecca King, Davis King, and Rhoda King.
They moved to Sumner County, Tennessee, sometime after 1787.
Mary passed away in Sumner County, Tennessee on or about July 26, 1817.
