Lewis was born about 1800 in Tennessee, United States. He was the son of Thomas Morrison and Caty Mauk.
Lewis married Rebecca Jennett.
He was Justice of the Peace for Montgomery county, Indiana for a while & active in the haw Creek Church which helped form several other churches in the area.
In the 1850 census Lewis (age 49, farmer) was in Clark Township, Montgomery, Indiana, United States. He was living with his wife Rebecca (age 43) and had eight children living at home.[1]
In the 1860 census Lewis (age 60) was living with his wife Rebecca (age 52) and son Tilman (age 18) in Jefferson Township, Daviess, Missouri, United States.[2]
He passed away in 1871 in Daviess, Missouri, United States. Lewis was mentioned on a memorial in Old Union Cemetery, Gallatin, Daviess County, Missouri, United States with a death date of 14 April 1871.[3]
