Rae Luckock, along with Agnes Macphail, was one of the first two women elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Canada, and the founding president of the peace organization, the Congress of Canadian Women.
Born in 1893 in Toronto, Ontario, Rae was the daughter of James Morrison and Margaret Blyth.[1] She spent her childhood on the family farm near Arthur in Wellington County.[2] In the Census of Canada 1911, she was listed with eight siblings, two older and six younger.[3]
In 1914 she married Richard C. Luckock, a 25-year-old brass engraver from Toronto.[4]
