"Jim W. Morrison, 92, of Bloomfield, died Dec. 1, 2009, at his home. He was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Poweshiek County to Ruben and Neta Campbell Morrison. He married Mary Sutton Sept. 21, 1940, in Lancaster, Mo. He was a truck driver for Morrison Trucking and was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Norma (Rod) Pickens of Bloomfield, Janet (Tom) Adamson of Derby, Kan., and Donna Meredith of Bloomfield; two sons, Bryan Morrison of Lafayette, Ind., and David Morrison of Bloomfield; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ray Vaughn Morrison; four sisters, Mildred Johnston, Chleo Christian, Esther Howard and Mary Greer; two brothers, Charles "Bud" Morrison and Billy Dale Morrison; and three great-grandchildren.Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
