We are still trying to ascertain where exactly Abraham was born, and who his parents may have been. Unfortunately, most of the Irish records pertaining to Sligo were destroyed in the Dublin Public Records Office fire on 30 June 1922.
Abraham and his family were known to be of the Protestant (Methodist) faith, so therefore, more than likely were of Scottish ancestry.
