Helen Morrison was born in Scotland.

Helen Morrison was born about 1842 in Hamilton, the daughter of William Morrison and Margaret Mearns. In the 1851 census, Helen was with her parents and siblings Alexander and James at 21 Postgate in Hamilton^[1]. In the 1861 census, Helen is with her Aunt Jean Mearns at 9 Postgate St in Hamilton. Also there is Jean's brother James Mearns, Helen's uncle, and Jean's daughter Jane Paterson, Helen's cousin.

Helen died single age 22 on 10 Aug 1863 at 10 NE Lamb St in Hamilton. She had Tuberculosis for a year. Her brother Alexander, from Motherwell, was the death informant.
