Biography
Mary was born about 1842, and died of a complication from pregnancy "Syncope It is a significant cause of third trimester bleeding and is associated with both fetal and maternal morbidity and mortality.[www1.cgmh.org.tw] It must be entertained as a diagnosis anytime third trimester bleeding is encountered. @ Pathophysiology: As the placenta separates from the uterus, hemorrhage ensues into[www1.cgmh.org.tw] It is a potentially fatal complication of pregnancy and is a significant cause of third-trimester bleeding / antepartum haemorrhage."[1]
Her headstone in Alva Cemetery may be viewed at www.billiongraves.com. It reads "Mary Morrison died at Alva 8 September 1878, aged 36 wife of Matthew Wallace who died at Stirling 2? September 1917 aged 82 and his wife Catherine Moir died 14 Nov 1903 aged 83 etc."
