Mary was born in 1909 in Victoria, Australia. She was a daughter of John Edward Morrissey and Gilberta Josephine Nicholson.[1]
She married Heathcote Hammer on 26th October 1935 in St Patrick's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Melbourne, Victoria.[2] They divorced in 1955.
