Biography
Elzina was born about 1834 in Indiana. She married John F. Billups and kept house. they had four children: Francis M., Mary E., Minnie M. and John BILLUPS.
Origin
Elzina was born 17 March 1833[1] in Indiana.[2] She was a Christian Scientist.[1]
Marriage and Children
John Thomas and Elzina (Morrow) Billups were married 10 OCT 1852 in Missouri.[1] According to Hitt, they had seven children,[1] but eight are reported in the Census.

Census Information
The 1860 Census found Elzina and her family living at Green Township, Scotland County, Missouri[3] Elzina was 27 yrs old, and her occupation was reported as "Domestic," but it seems this Census worker called all the wives' work "Domestic." John T. Billups was 35 yrs old, a farmer. The children were: Levena (Lavina) Billups age 6, Perry Billups age 4, Merritt Billups, age 3, and Laura Billups age 1.
In 1880, Elzina and her family were living at Union, Scotland County, Missouri.[2] Elzina was 46 yrs old and her husband John "F" [sic] Billups was 53 yrs old. The Census reports that Elzina was born in Indiana and John in Virginia. All the children were born in Missouri: Francis M age 16, Mary E age 14, Minnie M age 10, John T age 8.
Death and Legacy
Elzina died at the age of 99 years in about 1932 in California.[1]
Scotland Co, Missouri records list her name as Elzina Morrow Comley married to John T. Billups in Johnson Twp, Scotland Co, MO on 10 Oct 1852. Death certificate gives father's name as James Comely; mother as Rebecca Morrow. Her birth date as March 27, 1833 and death date as Nov 1, 1931.
