Biography
According to his tombstone, John was born 25 Jun 1802 and died 16 Dec 1873.[1] Census records indicate he was born in South Carolina, his brothers were born in Tennessee around 1810, and the entire family ended up in Missouri in the 1820s. He married Jane Crockett in Boone County, Missouri.[2]
