Biography

William was the 3rd child of Thomas Morse and Elizabeth (nee Camm). He was baptised in Bream on 21 June 1899. The family lived in Bream and his father was a Miner. ^[1]

In 1907, when he was 8 year old Thomas' father died. In 1911 he was staying with his grandparents Thomas and Mary Morse. They also lived in Bream so his mother and siblings were close by. ^[2]

In 1918, at the age of 19 William married Florence Gladys Mabel White at Parkend. He listed his occupation as electrician and his father (now deceased) as a Collier. Florence came from Pillowell and her father Caleb was a Carpenter. William Wildin and Thomas Morse were witnesses. ^[3]

In 1939 William and Florence were living at 50 Nevil Road, Bristol. William was a Brewery Cellarman and volunteer ARP Warden. 2 records are crossed out indicating they may had had 2 children there as well. ^[4]

Florence passed away in 1978 and William died aged 94 in Chippenham in 1993. ^[5]
