Harold was born on June 17, 1884, in Newland (a village in the Forest of Dean), Gloucestershire, England.[1] He was the son of Thomas Morse and Mary Kear. He was enumerated in the 1891, [2] and 1901 census [3] residing with his family. In 1901, he stated he was sixteen and an "Apprentice Ironmonger".

Although no registration found, family records indicate Harold married Emma Harriet Cadle on June 11, 1910 at Holy Trinity Church, Rathmines, Ireland. Harold and Emma emigrated to Canada in 1910. They were enumerated in the 1911 census of Canada [4] residing in the suburbs of Vancouver, British Columbia. They both state their year of immigration as 1910, and Harold declares his occupation as "Electrician". Harold and Emma appear as the parents of George Harold Cadle Morse on his marriage registration to Edna Inga Elizabeth Goranson on June 21, 1938, in Vancouver.[5]

The couple had 3 children, Elizabeth (born and died 1911). George Harold Cadle (1912-1982) and Patricia Maude (1915-2009).

Harold passed away on October 22, 1952, in Vancouver. [6] He was sixty eight.
