Some online records list her as Sarah Morse. However, as best as can be determined, her mother's first husband Charles Morse died sometime after the 1861 census enumeration (perhaps in June). Her mother was remarried to William Thomas in 1862, and Sarah was born in 1864, well after Charles Morse's death. Details can be found in the notes on her mother's profile.
The 1920 US Census record (linked below) includes Elmer (58), Sarah (51), children Charles, Mignon, Victoria and John. It also lists a lodger named "Thadius Canon," age 52.
In 1920 her husband Elmer Ellsworth Comings passed away, and in 1923 she married Thaddeus Cannon[1].
