Charlotte Harriet Mortimer was born on 1 August 1888 in Rockingham, Western Australia.[1] Her father, John Mortimer, was 30, and her mother, Emma Postans, was 27. Charlotte had 19 brothers and sisters.
She married Robert "Percy" Swain on 28 May 1910 in Fremantle, Western Australia.[2] They had four children during their marriage.
She died on 28 November 1988 in Western Australia at the age of 100.[3] She was buried in the Roman Catholic section of Fremantle Cemetery, Western Australia. [4]
