His inventory was taken on 15 June 1694 and recorded at Plymouth. His widow, Susanna was granted administration of his estate.[1]
On 10 January 1696/97, after dying intestate and leaving three small children, each of the uncles, George Morton (guardian of his son Henry), Ephraim Morton (guardian of his daughter Susanna), and Nathaniel Morton (guardian of his son Josiah) were appointed guardians for the children. Josiah the eldest son received a double portion of the estate, and Susanna and Henry each received a share.[2][3]
In 1709, he (deceased) and his son Josiah are mentioned in his brother, Nathaniel Morton's will..[4]
On 19 September 1712, his children, Josiah Morton, and Susanna, wife of Ephraim Morton signed a distribution agreement. Their brother Henry had died in his minority.[5]

Thank you for noticing Josiah. I am not a relative my only connection is from reading about him on Google and that was indirectly because he was mentioned. To shorten a long story, I summered as a child in Onset Ma, a village in the town of Wareham. There is a house way out on a strip of land fronting Onset bay as it merges into the south end of the Cape Cod canal the very end of the land is called Burgess Point and the house is the oldest one in Wareham and Josiah is reputed to be the first owner.
