Their son Joseph Childs Morton married a young lady from British Columbia. It's possible they travelled here for the wedding and chose to stay. Or, maybe they had already located previously.

Alexander passed away in 1898 in South Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. [5] He was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where his wife was later buried. [6]
