Biography

Sarah was born about 1705. She passed away about 1766.

Research Notes

There is no source for Sarah's maiden name. However there is evidence she was married to Bernard Taylor:

In 1738, James Taylor, son of Bernard and Sarah Taylor was born December 15th and baptized February 18th.[1]

Sarah, the wife of Bernard Taylor has been mistaken as the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Hancock) Moseley. Their daughter Sarah married a Mr. Walker, as named in Arthur's will written in 1729.[2] About 1740 there was a deed from Joel Walker to John Williamson wherein Sarah, wife of Joel Walker, relinquished her dower right.[3]

Moseley-4431 and Moseley-1191 are not ready to be merged because: Same parents, different husbands. Needs further research to determine if they are duplicate daughters or if one is attached to the wrong family group.

Moseley-4431 and Moseley-1191 do not represent the same person because: Moseley-1191: Sarah Moseley as wife of Bernard Taylor is not the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Hancock) Moseley. Their daughter, Moseley-4431 was the wife of Joel Walker. Therefore these two profiles do not represent the same person. Citation is incorrect for Virginia Magazine of History & Biography. It should be vol. 33,no. 3, pp. 316-321. Therein it states Arthur Moseley's daughter Sarah married a Walker. Bernard Taylor is not mentioned.
