Research Notes

  • Maria was originally connected to Joseph Fulk as her spouse; however, information on this Joseph Fulk indicates that he married Drusilla Ashburn in 1822 and was still married to her at the time of the 1850 Census. This means he would not have married Maria Catherine Moser in 1825 as was originally noted. There may be another Joseph Fulk that married her, but Fulk-215 is not the right one. -- Fiscus-32 16:01, 17 December 2015 (EST)
  • Downey-1809: There is another Catherine Moser with Find A Grave: Memorial #70231676 That profile differs from this one for the birth place and husband's name. Another source that was on this profile that seems more appropriate for the other one is the marriage record: "North Carolina Marriages, 1759-1979," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F8BD-429 : 29 December 2014), Joseph Fulk and Catharine M. Moser, 18 Mar 1825; citing Stokes,North Carolina, reference ; FHL microfilm 6,330,298.
