Biography

Mary Moser was the daughter of Valentine and Julian Moser of Frederick Co., Md. Valentine Moser is a son of John Moser.

Charles Samuel Green, son of James Robert Green and Martha Jane Rotruck. Martha Jane is the daughter of John Rotruck, Jr. and Elizabeth Rinker.

Charles Samuel Green wrote on the back of my mother's, ( his daughter )( Faye Eliza Green, Harvey, Hortch), 1937 High School class program this writing.

Great Grandmother ( Mary Moser-CWH ) German decent.

Maiden name Moser.

In the name of God Amen I Valentine Moser of the County of Fayette and State of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and of my usual understanding Do make and ordain this my last will and testament First and principally my immortal soul I commend to God that gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of executors. And touching the worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to help me I dispose of as follows Item my just debts of which there are but few my funeral expenses and the legacies hereafter mentioned I order to be punctually paid as speedily after my decease as possible. Item to my sons Jacob, Abraham, Valentine and John Moser I do give and bequeath to each of them one dollar. Item to my daughters Christina Gans, Mary Rowstruck, Susannah Hunsucker and Nancy Mock I do give and bequeath to each of them one dollar and to my daughters Catherine Moser and Julian Moser I do give and bequeath to each of them one horse creature one milch cow and one feather bed and bedding Item to my dearly beloved wife Julian I do give and bequeath the whole of my real estate that I may of right die possessed of and the residue of my personal estate so remaining I do order to be sold by my surviving executor or executors and the proceeds arising therefrom to be equally divided amongst my four sons and six daughters before named except my oldest son Jacob to whom (on account of infirmities with which it has pleased God to visit him) I do order that fifty-three dollars and 33 cents more than an equal divident as aforesaid or that sum be first deducted from the proceeds of sales as aforesaid and then with an equal dividend of the residue to be placed by my surviving Executor or Executors as a secure and certain fund the interest of which to be annually paid for the support of my said son Jacob during his natural life but in case he should die before my said wife then the division of my estate to be made as aforesaid amongst my other nine children or their heirs and lastly I do ordain and appoint my wife Julian Moser Executrix and my son-in-law, Joseph Gans Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others.

note:Codicil was witnessed by Joseph Gans & Abraham (his X Mark) Moser. The date of 11 July 1810 was the date he made the codicil. I didn't see a date on the will but then it may have been on the cover of the will and then when the second transcription of will book 1 was made the date was used for the original will. And he could have made the codicil the same day as the original will he something was forgotten.
