Philip Frederick Moser was born 15 Apr 1820 in Greene County, Tennessee. He was the son of "Old Johnnie Moser, Sr." and Barbara Hunsucker.

Philip married Julia Ann Carey.

Philip died 14 Aug 1895 (aged 75) and is buried in the old section of Old Saint Paul Cemetery, Lakeside, Monroe County, Tennessee.
