Biography

John Henry Moser married Maria Catharina Geiger in 1804[1]. They were the parents of one daughter, Catharina, born in 1805, who married Joseph Fulk. Maria Catharina (Geiger) Moser died on September 14, 1805, and John Henry then married Elizabeth Moser, daughter of Michael Moser and Catharina Koller, in December, 1806. They had at least 11 children.

John Henry is buried at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Rural Hall, Forsyth County, NC.[2]. Also see his memorial at Find A Grave for a copy of a letter from the Moravian Archives giving the dates of his birth and baptism.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Henry by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Henry:

Moser-2969 and Moser-569 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth / death dates and locations; also have duplicate sons, John.
Moser-1335 and Moser-569 appear to represent the same person because: same exact birthdate (although the death dates differ), same wives (pending some merges and corrections)
Moser-1786 and Moser-569 appear to represent the same person because: Another duplicate -- again, wives are going to need a little work.
Mosier-193 and Moser-569 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate sons -- looks like the names of his wives might need some adjusting.
