From Mark L Tunnell: "Michael Moser (Sr) and his younger brother [or son. KP] named Philip (probably so named just to irritate later researchers...) arrived in Friend's Cove, Colerain Township in Bedford County around 1811. Philip got married there in 1815. Michael then moved to Londonderry Township in 1830, and bought property along the Little Wills Creek, in Madley, PA from Daniel Lybarger, executor of the estate of his father Henry Lybarger. A log house was completed by 1812 and still stands today on Sheirer Rd. It is used as a bed and breakfast."
Most of my information on this family comes from Arlis Eilerts, who used *People of the Marsh* as her main source. Church and land records. At one time, after an intensive study of the Mosers in PA, I considered the possibility that although this Michael and mine were only two pages apart in 1820 in Bedford Co, they were not father and son. However, I now accept that they were father and son.
Michael b. 1782 to Michael & Eva at Ziegel, Weissenberg Twp. This baptism is also listed by genweb as taking place 4 Aug 1782, at Lehigh Church, Lower Macungie Twp, Lehigh Co PA. Sponsors were George Moser and Catharina Roth.
Johan Henrich b. 12 Feb 1786 to Johna Michael & Eva (Boorz) at Jordan Ref., S. Whitehall
Magdalene b. 23 Dec 1795 to Michael & Eva at Schlosser/ Union Ref., N. Whitehall
Elizabeth B. b. 7 Feb 1798 to Michael & Eva (Burz) at Schlosser/Union Ref., N. Whitehall
1790, 1800, 1810 unlocated, poss listed as John Moser; he should be listed in Northampton Co PA
1790, not the Michael Moser of Brunswick Twp, as this man had older children, and not enough sons under 16.
Also not the Michael of Earl Twp, as this man had only one son and four daughters. Michael Moser of Bern Twp had no children. Michael "Moasser" of Montgomery Co PA had three sons over 16.
1800, might be Michael Moser of Lynn Twp, Northampton Co PA: 20111/30010
1820 Bedford Co PA, Colerain Twp, p 12: Michael Moser, 101301/02201
1830 Bedford Co PA, Londonderry Twp, p 89: Michael Moser, 2000210001.../210021001...

The earliest Bedford Co PA record for Mosers is the following: Land Applications: Philip MOSER. 300 acres in Friend's Cove, adj warrant of John BAYARD. 11/10/1766, #1881. (Source: Early Land Applications, Bedford County Courthouse, Bedford, PA)
Other members of his family were probably: Mr. Charles Fry married 20 Jan 1852 Miss (no first name given) Moser; both of Bedford Borough. (Source: Bedford Gazette, 30 Jan 1852)
Married on 7th inst. by Rev. Zigler, John Gibson of Colerain Twp. to Sara A. Moser of West Providence Twp. (Source: Bedford Gazette, 15 Dec 1848.)
Mark Tunnell posted the following at Ancestry.com: There has been uncertainty as to the parentage of Michael Moser Sr. of Bedford County, who married Eva Boortz.
In the early 1780's Michael and his bride were living near Weissenberg, Lehigh Co. as they baptized their firstborn at near-by Ziegel Church. Ziegel Church hed been built in 1750 of log construction.
From the following baptismal records, it would seem that Michael and Eva later switched churches a few times:
from Pennsylvania Births, Lehigh Co. 1734-1800, John T. Humphrey: MOSER
Michael b. 1782 to Michael & Eva at Ziegel Church, Weissenberg Twp.
Michael Moser (Sr.) died on May 21, 1841.

Johan was born in 1761. He passed away in 1841.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Michael by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Michael:

Moser-2634 and Moser-2633 appear to represent the same person because: same death date

Moser-2633 and Moser-65 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate
That would make is father only 11 or 12 years old at the time of his birth. His father's birth date needs to be sorted out first.
