Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

HI Keith you sent me a message re wanting to merge Serepta Smith Carpenter with Willard Ezra Carpenter BUT Serepta is FEMALE and Willard is obviously Male, so they should not be merged. Unless Im confused, Please advise. Thx ! Kathyb
Hi Keith,

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! This certification requires participation in a project related to the profiles you wish to edit. Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Also, check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know! I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders. Welcome aboard!

Welcome back Keith!

You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering. Make sure to add more TAGS (subjects of interest) as you grow the family tree.

Wow!!! You're the 1,682nd MOSHER profile on Wikitree! I bet your 'cousins' on Wikitree will benefit greatly once you add your insightful collaboration and sourced research.

Have fun and make sure to join in the Question of the Week: Going back in time: What burning question would you ask which ancestor and share your thoughts!

If you need additional help, our Mentors Project is a friendly group of volunteers who are glad to assist you with WikiTree-specific problems.

See you in the branches---

Deborah, Volunteer from USA

Hi Keith,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
