Between 1929 and 1935, as a child, there are several records of his travel by ship, with both his parents or with his mother alone, between Singapore and England.
In 1950, when he would have been 21 years of age and had probably graduated from university, he left England for Hong Kong aboard the "Carthage", listing his occupation as "Bank official" and giving his address in England as c/o the Hongkong & Shanghai Bank (H&SBC), by whom we assume he had been employed.
Apparently, outside the Mosley family, Arthur was commonly known as "Bill" to the Stewart family and to his colleagues at the H&SBC
Pip worked for the H&SBC in Hong Kong for the next 40 or so years
According to a recent book about the Stewart family, Pip and his wife Joan Stewart were married in 1954; this has now been confirmed as having occurred at Singapore Cathedral on July 17, 1954
According to a report in The Straits Times, Singapore, on April 10, 1972, Pip had recently been appointed to the board of directors of the H&SBC.
He must have retired from the H&SBC and returned to England some time in the mid to late 1980s.
"Pip" died in or near to Bournemouth, Hampshire, England in 2003.
