Biography

Joshua Moss, son of Joseph Moss and Ellender Sandlin, was born on 31 Jan. 1788.[1][2]

He married Jane "Jennie" Howser, (also Hauser and Houser), daughter of Henry and Christina Howser, in 1810 in York County, South Carolina.[1]

He was a farmer when he and Jane appeared on the census of 19 Sep. 1850 at Mercer County, Missouri.[3]

He was a farmer when he and Jane appeared on the census of 17 July 1860 at Harrison Township, Mercer County, Missouri.[4]

Joshua died on 16 May 1877 at Harrison Township, Mercer County, Missouri and was buried at Zoar Cemetery, Cainsville, Harrison County, Missouri. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[1]
