Diana was born about 1736. She is the daughter of Thomas Lorton and Elizabeth Moss.

Deed of Trust dated 3 June 1745. “Whereas a marriage is shortly to be solemnized between Thomas Lorton and Eliabeth Moss, widow. Witnesses John Ornsby, Joseph Scott and Edmund Walker. Elizabeth Moss has an estate of 50 pounds, and is desirous that her children by her former husband, to wit, Henry Moss and Diana Moss, may have benefit thereof. The 50 pounds is to be placed in the hands of said Thomas Lorton in trust for her children’s benefit in this manner: 25 pounds when Henry arrives at age 21, and 25 pounds when Diana arrives at age 18; if either die, the other to have it all; if both die, the money to be paid to SAMUEL BENTLEY in trust for said Elizabeth Moss, to be disposed of by her as she sees fit.
