Biography

Based on the 1870 census, James was born in Kentucky about 1848; he married Angeline Goodell in 1867 in Missouri; they were living in Lincoln, Daviess Co., Missouri with two-year-old daughter Minnie. Also living with them is a 13-year-old Franklin P. Moss, too old to be their child; possibly a younger brother of James.^[1]

They were still there during the 1874 Missouri state census.^[2]
