(As is custom with German Lutheran churches the first name given is a baptismal name such as Johann for boys and Johanna for girls. The naming conventions vary. As such many family members here may show these as their first name but in many historical records you may only see the preferred name.)

Notes

2/1122021--looking at this again and still not sure we did not mix musser and moser by mistake (comments)RE: merger of Moser 658 and Moser 85--and I suppose Moser 769 previously. It is time to go back to the full basic information to check the facts. Things as basic as "Is his name Johann Daniel, or only Daniel". Must double check the location name also is it Lynn Northampton, PA and did he move around from there? Are their 2 Moser families living close together with many of the same names. Also look at the name Johann Daniel Musser---Are Musser and Moser the same person or two different persons? 8/17/20--Research shows that for this family the names Musser and Moser interchange depending on where you find the record in either source, time, or family Tree. This will make it very difficult to keep straight in a World tree such as this one. It appears that before 1800 "Musser" is most prevalent, and after 1800 "Moser" becomes the norm--and that is what I am going to attempt, and using the also know as name as a transitional tool.

Moser-85 and Mosser-118 appear to represent the same person because: The original German spelling used the double S so it may be best to use that last name. Mosser, Moser, Musser, and a few other spellings are known.

I must have been on drugs to look into this family--gotta back out before I end up in the bottom of a rabbitt hole.

Moser-658 and Moser-85 are now ready to be merged. There is still much to do to clean up profiles and adding sources to reference all the facts.
