Charles Mott was owner of lands in Kakiat, Hempstead, Orange Co, Colony of NY [1]

Will, notes on

Charles Mott yeoman of Hempstead, Nassau Island, Queens NY left will dated 10 February 1740, proved 11 March 1741. Wife was living. Son Amos to have the farm on Hempstead Harbour. Son Adam other lands. Grandson Joseph (surname hard to read but looks like) Sarkine, son of daughter Mary Ann. To the heirs of daughter Elizabeth Hunter monies and a Negro girl named "Peggy." To son Gershom, a Negro girl named "Abigail." To son John the large Bible. To grandson Joseph 20 shillings. Named all children to share balance of estate: Gershom, Benjamin, John, Adam, Amos, Elizabeth and Mary Ann. Exe son Amos Mott and kinsmen William Mott.[2]
