Biography

Pernel was a Friend (Quaker)

Pernel was born on 12 June 1725 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] She was the daughter of Adam Mott Sr. and Apphia (Hathaway) Mott.[1][2]

She married first Samuel Sawdy, son of Benjamin and Sarah Sawby of Newport, Rhode Island, on 14d 12m 1744/5 [14 February 1745].[2]

She married second Edward Thurston, son of Edward and Hannah Thurston of Freetown on 6d 7m 1758.[3] She died in 1800 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts.

Children of Pernel Thurston: Benjamin Sawdy.[4]
